Industrial Council for Packaging and Environment (INCPEN).

INCPEN stands for the Industrial Council for Packaging and Environment, and are a research organisation founded and ran by various companies with the same objective.

Their aim is to foresee a policy on packaging that ensures that sustainability is at the forefront, encourage the industry to minimise the environmental impact of packaging and packaged goods on the environment, and to educate about the role of packaging in our society.

Members and funders of INCPEN include leading companies from raw material suppliers up to packaging retailers who work together with the purpose of making a more sustainable future for the industry.

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification.

PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.

FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components: Forest Management and Chain of Custody certification. This system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use timber and forest products produced from well-managed forests.

Dart Products Europe has FSC Chain of Custody certification on all UK manufactured Flexstyle Paper Food Containers.

Recycle Now.

Recycle Now gives advice regarding how and where a wide variety of materials and products can be recycled in the UK. A post code search facility is available to find what services exist in your region.

Din Certco & Vincotte.

The two European organisations to issue enviromental standards, including the Compostability in Europe (EN13432) certification.

Waste & Resource Action Programme (WRAP).

WRAP (Waste & Resource Action Programme) is an organisation that helps businesses, individuals and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more. They cover all materials and can offer impartial advice.
